The PM2.5 Sensor Replacement Module is a replacement part for the Kaiterra Surface Mounted Air Quality Sensor. This sensor is designed to monitor particulate matter 2.5, which can penetrate into the lung alveoli and even bloodstream, and cause harm at a cellular level.
PM 2.5 measurement principle
Laser-based light scattering (mie)
PM 2.5 measurement range (AQI)
PM 2.5 measurement range (PM 2.5 Concentration)
PM 2.5 response time
PM 2.5 resolution
PM 2.5 accuracy
Measurable particle size
0.3μm - 10μm
*Sensor modules contain a chip that is used to record and analyse usage metrics. The hours of usage, as well as the concentration of pollutants the sensor has been exposed to are recorded, and are used to calculate the lifespan of the sensor in real time. This ensures that sensors remain accurate and are not replaced until necessary, thus reducing waste. In a typical indoor environment, the lifespan of a module is generally between one and two years, though this number will vary with different environments.
